i think that whoopie goldberg should play harriet tubman in a new movie about the underground railroad. if you've ever read about harriet tubman's life, she was not only brave but ingenious and brilliant and her life was terrifying and exciting. ms. tubman also made a positive dent in humanity! i think whoopie goldberg is the one and only choice for the role because not only is she an actress without peer but the life she has led is remarkably similar in many respects to that of harriet tubman's. (and, let's look beyond 'they're both african-american') i may be a little white girl, but that's not what i'm saying at all. i'm saying that if whoopie had been born on harriet tubman's birthday, she probably would have been doing the same thing. a full scale movie about her life starring whoopie goldberg is exactly what the world needs. and, whoopie herself is so gracious that she would probably end up inviting oprah to have a supporting role. i admire the hell out of whoopie goldberg, and it irritates me to see her throwing away her life in that center square! i'm sorry but that's just the way it is. diana Sent via Deja.com
