Entering the world of franchising can be very exciting. You will have the opportunity to own and operate your own business, just with a higher chance of success from that of starting your own independent business. You will have a great support network and great systems in place to use. However you will still have decisions to make and you will still have a lot of work to do. Your efforts will determine the success of your franchise. Here are some tips to keep your franchise on top!

We've booked the Celebrity Infinity - 11-Night Hawaii 17-28 Feb, 2001. We've been on Carnival twice and RCI once and had a great time on all three cruises.  Never been on Celebrity.  The Infinity is under construction.  Our cruise will be Infinity's second. We're booked in a 1A stateroom (Premium ocean-view stateroom) on the Sky Deck.  We had a varanda on the RCI cruise (Monarch) and loved it, so we're looking forward to having one on this cruise. Any comparisons and discussion about the Celebrity, the millennium class of ship, Hawaii cruises, etc would be appreciated. Cruise Itinerary: ? Saturday: Ensenada, Mexico dep. 9:00 PM ? Sunday: At Sea ? Monday: At Sea ? Tuesday: At Sea ? Wednesday: At Sea ? Thursday: Kailua Kona, Hawaii - arr. 7:00 AM dep. 6:00 PM ? Friday: Hilo, Hawaii, Hawaiian Islands - arr. 8:00 AM dep. 4:30 PM ? Saturday: Nawiliwili,Kauai,Hawaiian Islands - arr. 7:00 AM dep. 6:00 PM ? Sunday Lahaina, Maui, Hawaiian Islands - arr. 7:00 AM ? Monday Lahaina, Maui, Hawaiian Islands - dep. 6:00 PM ? Tuesday Honolulu,Oahu, Hawaiian Islands - arr. 8:00 AM ? Wednesday Honolulu,Oahu, Hawaiian Islands

Tim: Steiner will be gone?!!!!  On all Celebrity ships or just Infinity! Yeah, they've had a monopoly for too long! Hoping they're gone on RCI and CCL as well!

Sheree, I've been told that a new Spa Concessionaire will take over the Aqua Spa operations fleet wide in January or February. The name escapes me right now as my paperwork/notes are in the office.

Wednesday     Honolulu,Oahu, Hawaiian Islands Lots of sea days. Reports on the Millennium should give you insight on the functional aspects of the Infinity. However, Infinity will not be a carbon copy of the Millennium and may not be that similar to her in major areas of the ship, If she is anything like the Century compared to the Galaxy she'll have her own _style_ and personality though most rooms should be in the same place. Millennium will be a fancier ship as she is the new flagship of the line (Century was the former flagship). Carole gave you a good profile of Celebrity. I'll say that not all are in agreement about the food. It's supervised by French chef Michel Roux and is French _style_d cuisine. Desserts are very delicate, some don't find them to have much taste and I think a significant amount of people find the food overrated. I don't know if it is a good idea to go in expecting great food, as none of us know your food preferences. If you enjoy it, that's an extra bonus. In addition to what Carole wrote Celebrity features are Cova Cafe with cappacino, latte, espresso served for a price and high quality Cova chocalates, Martini bar and Champagne bar, Michael's club. There are some fun activities aboard Celebrity and nightlife, it isn't totally laid back, some frivilous activities as well, but not to the extent of Carnival or RCI and the service is not as entertaining as Carnival or RCI. You will not find dancing waiters and they only sing Hoppy Birzday as they do on other lines and may sing during the Baked Alaska cliche final dinner. Also, I think it is good to keep in mind that many people here may report on Celebrity in the Carribean. I think the product of Celebrity in Alaska and Europe differed alot in terms of energy level in the ship and some features and those reporting on their experience may be reporting on an experience that will differ from what Celebrity may plan for Hawaii. I don't think they'll do anything regional though, a la American Hawaii who really caters the trip to a Hawaiin culture. What I personally find compelling about the Infinity is that she'll have a conservatory designed with collaboration with Emilio Robba on the top of her ship showcasing flowers and greenery. This differs from the Millennium. Like the Millennium she'll have a specialty restaurant with fine (and sometimes expensive) wines and tableside preparation. There's a charge, $12 pp. The small amount of reports coming in feel that it is worth it and the service and food equals that of very expensive restaurants. We'll see if this sentiment continues.
