<E-snip You have every right to accept or not accept tips. This is like a manager telling you what to do with your own money. You might even consider the quarter as abuse that you don't have to take. It was probably the *way* you said it, though, and not the refusal. Oh, it was definitely the way I said it. I was out of line, but dammit...I was pissed off. Oh well, I'm working on settling down. Maybe I'm getting burned out on delivering, starting to take the stiffs way too personally. Maybe when I start classes I'll cut back the schedule, and lighten up a bit. :O) John When I start to burn out I start taking the stiffs too personally as well. I'm going back to school soon which is always nice. This time though, I'm not leaving my job because of the customers or burn out but because I absolutely cannot stand the management!! Lydia

Of course I don't remember them ALL, but there are certainly more than a few dozen who have commited enough atrocities that they are known by all of the drivers at the store. I love your choice of words. Atrocities is the perfect word. When you work long enough at the same location, you know the town pretty well. 90% of the time, I know the stiffers beforehand (and try to avoid them on the dispatch screen as much as possible.) I'll even take their pizzas out of the hot bag when on the delivery shelf.
