The number of complaints to the Federal Trade Commission on Franchising do not indicate ramped fraud in the franchising sector. The FTC before Congress gave a report showing that the number of complaints was fewer than one tenth of one percent, lower than any other industry. Nearly all the franchising cases the Federal Trade Commission filed, were gray, crying wolf area of law and most settled as soon as possible; considering the slow nature of our courts in America.

I have the MacLaren Daytripper, which I bought a couple of years ago. I got it specifically for trips that would include getting on and off public transit, bus, train, plus extensive city walking etc. It folds nicely and is easy to carry on and off the bus, escalator, etc. The seat has one recline position which is handy as nap time is usually right in the middle of any outing, and the raincover is great. The stroller has had some pretty heavy usage, such as bumping up and down flights of stairs while the child is sleeping, and carrying way more stuff hanging off the back than it should, and it has held up quite well. So as far as the money you would spend on a MacLaren, I am glad I did. I think it will easily last through child #2. -Karen mom to Henry who will bw 4 any day now, and William, 4 weeks new-
